FREE/Reduced-Cost Home Energy Audit
 Home Energy Audits normally cost $250 but right now, New York State is offering free/reduced-cost energy audits.
To qualify for the free/reduced-cost audit you must apply. The following documents are provided here to assist you:
Clarification on the documentation needed:
Green Jobs-Green New York will NOT accept a copy of your RG&E bill as a summary of 12-24 month gas/electric usage. Below are instructions to access the information on-line for RG&E only.
If you do not have access to a computer, you can call RG&E (1-800-743-2110) and they will send it to you. If you use other suppliers (Fairport Electric, propane companies, etc.), you will need to contact them directly to get the usage summary.
To access RG&E documentation:
1. Go to www.RGE.com *
2. Click on “my account login”
3. Create an account
4. Screen defaults to “your home”
5. Choose “energy use” from green area on left
6. Print summary of usage

Once complete, please mail, fax or email the signed application and supporting documentation to Green Jobs-Green New York using the information shown in the bottom left hand corner of the application.
Green Jobs-Green New York will respond to you in approximately 2-3 days with a “reservation” number. Once you have this number, please call Steve Peer or Ian Frank, our Energy Audit Coordinators, and They will be happy to schedule your home energy audit.
